Smoothie bowls

My favourite summertime brekkie

Full of goodness, I love starting my day with a pretty smoothie bowl. I use frozen fruit for a budget friendly option. Freezing fruit doesn't lose its nutritional value so don't worry about using frozen over fresh if you can't afford to buy fresh all the time. I'll give you a basic guide but you can pretty much use any combination of plant and superfoods that you like, it's up to you!

Ingredients

protein smoothie bowl

  •  1 frozen banana 

  • 1 handful spinach

  • 4 tbsp alpro vanilla yogurt

  • 2 tbsp flaxseed 

  • 1 handful frozen berries (I used blackberries, blueberries and raspberries)

  • 1 scoop vegan protein powder (I used liberty vanilla protein powder)

  • Topped with desiccated coconut, chia seeds, sunflower seeds & frozen berries.

Chop your banana into chunks and freeze for 1-2 hours

Blend together with spinach, yogurt, protein powder, flaxseed and frozen berries.

4.

Pop into your favourite bowl and top with the chia seeds, coconut, sunflower seeds and berries. You can add any toppings you like though! Fresh kiwi, banana slices, cashews... make it your own!
